Biotype B is an Asian biotype. This type has inherited an Asian gene for blood type B from ancient ancestors in Tibet and India. Their ancestors adapted to their specific ecosystem over long periods of time in isolation, and modern B's have inherited those adaptations. They fare best with Asian foods, such as rice, poultry, pork, fermented soy, and Asian fruits and vegetables.

The Biotype Research shows that blood type B has the highest rate of immediate allergies of all ABO blood types. The graph at right is an example. This biotype especially reacts to nuts and beans, Western gluten grains and nightshades, as shown at right. IgE Scores of 500-750 are mild, 750-1000 are moderate, and 1000-1250 denote strong allergies. Blood type B also displays delayed allergies, including: lectins in seafood and beans, and IgG allergens, and T-cell allergens. (Not shown.) For more on this biotype, see the Biotype Diets book.
