Biotype A2 is an Arctic biotype. This type has inherited a Lapplander gene for blood type A2 from ancient ancestors in Scandinavia. Their ancestors adapted to their specific ecosystem over long periods of time in isolation, and modern A2's have inherited those adaptations. They fare best with Arctic hunter-gatherer foods, such as: seafood, meats, poultry, nuts, fruits, berries, non-gluten grains, roots and tubers, vegetables and leafy greens

The Biotype Research shows that type A2's are more reactive than type A1's in general, and particularly to gluten grains. The IgG graph at right is an example. This biotype especially reacts to eggs and dairy. They have the least allergies to seafood of any type. IgG Scores of 1600 are mild, 2400 are moderate, and 3200 denotes strong allergies. Blood type A2 displays few immediate IgE allergies. (Not shown.) For more on this biotype, see the Biotype Diets book.
